What We Do

The Advocate Institute (full registered name is The Advocate Institute of Human Resources) was established in the mid-1990s, as a nonprofit organization. Often working in partnership with other nonprofits, our mission is to contribute to education, public information, development, analysis and implementation of social policy, social development programs and governance, in Canada and internationally.

We currently support a social policy website called SocialCanada.org.

In past decades we have worked with:

The Federation of Canadian Municipalities, on Quality of Life Reports for large Canadian cities;

Queens University School of Policy Studies, on the Queens International Institute on Social Policy, as well as exploring video production of social policy presentations.

The International Centre for Prevention of Crime, on organizational transformation and strategic direction.

Please note that the Advocate Institute does not accept or respond to unsolicited proposals.
